Saint-Gobain Crystals has introduced a series of high-performance harmonic separators, optimised for use with high-power solid-state lasers.
These new Alpine Research Optics-brand products are all dichroic beamsplitters, useful for either splitting or combining the various harmonics (1064nm, 532nm, 355nm, and 266nm) of Nd:YAG and Nd:YVO4 lasers. Both short-wave pass and long-wave pass designs are available.
Because of the combination of high-damage threshold and mechanical durability, these optics are suitable for demanding applications within semiconductor fabrication, display manufacturing, solar cell production and other micromachining tasks.
These beamsplitter coatings are typically supplied on flat substrates, with a high-efficiency anti-reflection coating on the second surface. Designs for both 0° and 45° incidence are available. Near infrared and visible wavelength optics are provided on optical grade fused silica substrates, and optics for use with ultraviolet wavelengths are fabricated on UV grade fused silica substrates. Other standard specifications are λ/10 flatness (at 633nm) and 10-5 surface quality.
