Cobolt has released a higher power model of its existing 561nm solid-state laser. The Cobolt Jive is now available with up to 150mW of continuous wave (CW) output power from the same small package. The laser is suited to power-demanding fluorescence analysis applications such as spinning-disc or TIRF confocal microscopy and cell sorting.
This laser is the latest addition to Cobolt Jive series of solid-state CW lasers, operating at a fixed wavelength 561nm with output power levels of 10mW, 25mW, 50mW, 75mW, 100mW and now 150mW. Built into a hermetically sealed compact (50 x 50mm) package using the company's HTCure technology for robustness, the Cobolt Jive is a single longitudinal mode laser, with very low noise (<0.3 per cent rms), narrow spectral line width (typically <30MHz) and high beam quality (M2<1.1).
