Keopsys has released its Kult series of eye-safe pulsed fibre laser sources.
These devices deliver high peak power and high energy per pulse from a very compact cylindrical OEM package (90 × 20mm, D × H, weight <200g), suitable for operation in harsh environments. The design has been specifically engineered to reduce the thermal management over an extended operating temperature range. In particular, their uncooled pumping design provides a power consumption of <50W. The devices will be distributed by AMS Technologies.
The whole series covers the wavelength range from 1,545 to 1,565nm. The laser operates in a pulsed-mode with pulses from 0.5 to 50ns and repetition frequency from 1kHz to 1MHz. The output beam is diffraction limited with M2 < 1.2.
