Armin Luft, founder and CEO of Laser 2000, was appointed to the German Senate of Economy at the beginning of January, on the strength of his 40 years of experience and expertise in the field of photonics. He was appointed because he is a well-known business personality and a pioneer in the field of photonics. The Senate wished to honor Luft’s contributions to German industry and his innovative creative talent. Photonics has become an interdisciplinary field of technology with a bright future ahead of it. Meanwhile, Laser 2000 SAS, which is based in France, is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. This subsidiary of Laser 2000 GmbH was founded in 1991, and has successfully served the French and numerous francophone markets ever since.
