Limo has launched the Lazo-Workstation, developed for a particularly smooth and accurate travel, as required for the development of many process-optimised surface applications, such as photovoltaic and semiconductor applications. The Lazo-Workstation is particularly suited for thermal processing and efficiency improvement of functional thin-layers on variable substrates using a variety of different laser sources. Moreover, the platform is also suitable for process development of well-established diode laser applications like welding of thermoplastics, cutting, welding and hardening of metallic materials, or temperature controlled soldering.
The drive system's design can be tailored to particular applications, for example Gantry operation with flying optics or 4/5 axis systems or up to 6 axis multi-link robots for 3D machining.
