Princeton Instruments has introduced its LightField 64-bit data acquisition software platform for spectroscopy and imaging applications. LightField combines complete control over Princeton Instruments’ cameras and spectrometers with easy-to-use tools for experimental set-up, data acquisition and post-processing.
The company states that the software features data integrity as its first priority, via automatic saving to disc, time stamping and retention of both raw and corrected data with full experimental details saved in each file. The software works in multi-user facilities, remembering each user’s hardware and software configurations and tailoring options and features accordingly. The company claims that its optional IntelliCal package is the highest-performance wavelength calibration software available, providing greater accuracy across the entire focal plane than competing routines.
All new 64-bit libraries have been designed from the ground up, with multi-threaded and multi-core awareness built in.
