Edmund Optics has introduced a new line of Mid-Wave Infrared (MWIR) Polarizers, which feature high contrast ratios and transmittances. These versatile polarisers feature high contrast ratios and transmittances. They are designed for a wide variety of applications operating in the 1.5-5μm wavelength range, including telecommunications, IR spectroscopy, IR sensing, and quantum cascade lasers (QCLs).
The polarisers are excellent for use in harsh environments. Each of the MWIR polarisers is manufactured using a dichroic glass substrate. This durable soda lime substrate material allows the polariser to provide high resistance to UV radiation and chemicals, as well as to withstand operating temperatures of up to 120 °C.
The polarisers are available in 12.5mm and 25mm diameter models. They come mounted for easy handling and simplified system integration.
