The FW-2000 motorised filter wheel from Terahertz Technologies is now available from Scitec Instruments. It enables one of up to eight 25.4mm diameter filters to be automatically or manually positioned in an optical path. Applications include photography, fluorescence microscopy and photometry.
The 104mm diameter filter wheels are easily interchangeable and can accommodate filter/window thicknesses from 1 to 8mm. The clear aperture is 23mm. The aperture may be rotated continuously through 360° about the motor axis in order to provide maximum flexibility.
The filter wheel can either be controlled using two pushbuttons (clockwise, anticlockwise) or remotely via a USB 2.0 interface. The position of the wheel is indicated by a seven-segment LED display.
Windows-compatible application software is provided. This enables the user to determine the status, select a filter or program a filter sequence including dwell times.
The filter wheel may be mounted either on a standard optical bench or post mounted using standard threaded posts (8-32, M3, 1/4-20 or M6). The wheel is powered by a universal wall mount power supply, which is supplied with a range of mains adaptors (USA, European, UK and Australian).
