Banner Engineering has launched its three-colour LED indicators for industrial control panels and enclosures, which require less space than traditional single-colour panel lights.
The model K30L EZ-light is a fully enclosed 30mm indicator light threaded to fit the standard 22.5mm mounting hole found in many machinery systems.
The K30L can perform the same functions as three individual single-colour incandescent lights, which saves panel space, reduces wiring time and installation cost and lowers power consumption.
LEDs are also not sensitive to vibration and can therefore last longer than their incandescent counterparts.
The self-contained K30L indicator light can be installed near the operator for easy viewing, whether in an electrical panel, or specially mounted on a bracket close to the point of operation. It can also function as a low profile tower light. Euro-style quick disconnect fittings with no exposed terminals allow rapid, no-solder installation without an electrician.
The durable enclosure is IP67-rated for use in harsh industrial environments and wash-down locations. With appropriate cabling and connectors, the indicators can be rated IP69K for food and beverage installations. Other applications include control systems for packaging machinery, automotive assembly, car washes and general manufacturing.
Each indicator can be specified with up to three colours: red, green, yellow, orange, blue and white. They are available with either integral, quick-disconnect pigtail connectors or two-metre unterminated (flying) leads. They interface with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and other automation networks.
