Evatec has extended its Optics Toolbox software in order to reduce the development time and costs of producing high end optical thin films, such as 3D interference filters. The company's new 'Thin Film Toolbox' allows seamless integration of film design software, a proprietary strategy generator for layer termination, process recipe generation, and control of the coating process itself. The toolbox now supports both quartz-based and optical monitoring technologies.
