Used as the output coupler of an ultrafast laser, TeraXion’s dispersion management devices can compensate for the nominal chromatic dispersion in the laser cavity, allowing much shorter pulses and a more stable laser operation.
Used as a pulse stretcher, in the chirped pulse amplification stage of a femtosecond laser, it can pre-compensate for higher orders of dispersion introduced by the grating compressor. This FBG-based component can also be used for spectral shaping of the pulse.
