Ophir Photonics has announced two new Pyroelectric Laser Energy Sensors, the PE50BB-DIF-C and the PE50-DIF-ER-C. They complete Ophir's PE-C line of pyroelectric pulsed laser sensors. The PE50-DIF-ER-C measures average power to 60W and has a dynamic range that extends to infrared lasers, including 2.94µm Erbium laser pulses. The PE50BB-DIF-C features a spectrally flat broadband coating, usable from far UV to far IR. The new laser energy sensors feature large, active aperture areas to 46mm and support pulse widths up to 20ms. They have a user adjustable threshold that prevents false readings in noisy environments.
