Flir Systems has launched the SC650 and SC450 thermal imaging camera packs for scientific research and development.
Bundled with the Flir SC650, SC450 packs as standard is ResearchIR software, which allows high speed recording, and advanced thermal pattern analysis. Using an uncooled Vanadium Oxide (VoX) microbolometer detector the Flir SC650 camera generates 640 x 480 pixel images. The SC650 allows users to see temperature differences as small as 0.03°C at 30°C with an accuracy of +/-1ºC or +/- 1 per cent of reading. For researchers that do not need this high image quality they can instead choose the SC450 pack that includes a Flir SC450 camera that generates 320 x 240 pixel thermal images.
