Laser Components has started distributing a range of high power multi-chip laser diode modules, manufactured by SemiNex . The diodes offer up to 20W CW optical power from a 375µm fibre bundled package. A monitor photodiode and red aiming beam are available as optional extras. Standard wavelengths include 1,450nm, 1,470nm, 1,532nm and 1,550nm, and custom wavelengths are available between 1,300nm and 1,700nm. High slope efficiency of 50 per cent W/A means that the modules' typical electrical and cooling system requirements are low.
