Prior Scientific Instruments has announced changes to its executive leadership team. After seven years with the company, managing director Dr Monika Maintz has resigned and will now be managing a Cambridgeshire-based charity.
Tom Freda, the current president and CEO of Prior Scientific in Rockland, MA, will take over as CEO of the Prior Scientific Group. Freda has been with Prior since 1993 and will be based at Prior’s offices in Rockland. He will, however, be dividing his time between Rockland and the head office in Fulbourn, UK.

At the same time, Stuart Jarvis will take on the role of chief technical officer (CTO), with the additional responsibility for production. Jarvis has also been with Prior since 1993 and previously served as R&D Director.
In a final change, Simon Smith will take on the role of chief financial officer (CFO), with additional responsibilities for quality, material planning, and inventory. Smith has been with Prior since 2008 and previously served as director of finance. Both Jarvis and Smith will also be responsible for the much of the day-to-day operations at the Fulbourn facility.
