Spectrum Detector has designed and now manufactures a complete line of LiTaO3 pyroelectric detectors that are direct, PIN compatible replacements for the company's older Molectron detectors.
The detectors are intended for applications in laser energy meters, optical pyrometers, IR gas analysers, and broadband radiometers. The company's SPC series of detectors include discrete elements from 1mm to 9mm diameter, whereas the SPH series of hybrid detectors include these same element sizes mated to both voltage and current mode circuits. All devices are packaged in TO5 or TO8 cans.
