Aurea Technology has introduced the SPD_B, a high-performance single photon counting module for short near infrared wavelengths of between 1000 and 1350nm.
The SPD_B is an ultra-low-noise, high quantum efficiency and low timing jitter near infrared single photon counter. The SPD_B includes a Geiger-mode InGaAs avalanche photodiode and thermoelectric coolers that ensure high detection efficiency up to 30 per cent, a very low dark count rate <5.10-6 per ns gate, and a low timing jitter <180ps.
The SPD_B is a complete 'all-in-one' single photon counter. It comes with its easy-to-use and ergonomic GUI compatible with LabView and C++. In the short near infrared range, the SPD_B single photon counter is suitable for use in fluorescence lifetime, photoluminescence, spectroscopy and time correlated single photon counting.
