Edmund Optics now distributes Techspec's line of near-UV achromatic lenses. These high performance lenses provide excellent transmission in the 345-700nm range. They are specifically designed to minimise the spot size for polychromatic illumination in the 345-550nm region.
The Techspec lenses are well suited to use in fluorescence applications, and for focusing common UV light sources, including mercury arc lamps, UV LEDs and tripled Nd:YAG lasers. The lenses feature a low-cost cemented design and offer an excellent alternative to air-spaced doublets and triplets in the UV region. The lenses provide greater than 90 per cent transmission from 360-700nm and supply greater than 50 per cent transmission at 334nm with no spherical aberration or coma.
To accommodate a wide variety of integration options, the lenses are available in 12.5mm diameter models in 25mm, 30mm, 40mm, 50mm and 60mm EFL and in 25mm diameter models in 50mm, 60mm, 75mm, 100mm and 125mm EFL. All models include a UV-visible coating.
