Laser Components has released stable top-hat designs combining the uniformity of top-hat designs with the flexibility of diffusers. The new designs include a diffractive optical element that creates a 30 x 30µm uniform spot from a Ø6mm 532nm laser and a 50 x 50µm uniform spot from a Ø6mm 1,064nm laser, that both have a working distance of 50mm.
Other features of the fused silica element include: high transmission efficiency (close to 100 per cent); high diffraction efficiency (~95 per cent); high damage threshold; and AR/AR coated.
