BFi Optilas now distributes Ocean Optics' Torus miniature spectrometer, a family of concave grating spectrometers that deliver scientific-grade stray light performance, stability and optical bench throughput. The Torus is a visible range (360-825nm) unit that delivers low stray light and is ideal for measuring colour. Its increased sensitivity and throughput also make is suitable for low light level applications, and the device's concave grating helps to improve thermal stability. Wavelength drift is very low, and peak shape stays the same over a wide temperature range.
The Torus is suitable for precision metrology, fluorescence and absorbency applications with demanding stray light and thermal stability requirements, such as atmospheric trace gas analysis, absorbency measurements of optically dense solutions, and precision measurement of LEDs, lasers and other light sources.
