Lambda Research has added a new fluorescence modelling capability to its TracePro Expert product. TracePro is a comprehensive, versatile software tool for modelling and analysing the propagation of light in opto-mechanical systems. With the capability to simulate fluorescence, TracePro addresses the rigorous design challenges inherent in fluorescence-based optical systems across the breadth of life science applications including biosensing, in-vitro and in-vivo medical diagnostics, spectroscopy, microarrays, flow cytometry and microscopy.
In addition to analysing light distribution and scatter, TracePro Expert now offers users the ability to import fluorophore data in solution or biological tissue and to analyse fluorescence effects at any point in the opto-mechanical system. An extensive library of commercially available fluorophores, light sources, and optical components including fluorescence filters facilitate the feasibility testing of off-the-shelf components.
