Optomistic Products has introduced its new Universal LightProbes product line of small, programmable sensors for reliably testing LEDs. The sensors are capable of simple checks for colour, or identifying the correct colour and intensity from a wide spectrum of colours, including white LEDs, and offer the choice of digital or analogue output.
The sensors operate at 5-40V, and can withstand reverse polarity up to 18V without permanent damage. providing immunity to power supply mistakes and voltage spikes due to inductive switching transients.
According to the company, its Universal LightProbes provide one of the smallest sensor sizes on the market today.
