StockerYale has introduced the UV Cobra Linescan Illuminator, which emits at 375nm and 395nm, is based on StockerYale’s unique, patented chip-on-board reflective array (COBRA) technology. This method of LED module fabrication yields extremely bright, uniform, thermally-efficient illumination. LED dice are placed at the centre of miniature cup-shaped mirrors, which involve layers of carefully chosen thermally and electrically conductive materials, built right into the array substrate. Available in line lengths of 125, 250 and 500mm, the UV Cobra Linescan Illuminator has applications in UV tracing, linescan and fluorescence contrast.
