Laser Components has developed a variable beamsplitter, for applications where there are different losses in each beam path after adjustment, or which require tolerances of less than +/- 1 per cent. It can be adjusted actively and has a position-dependent reflection profile. So, by moving the beamsplitter, a reflection value of 45-55 per cent can be obtained. The values can be continuously adjusted.
