Laser Quantum has announced a redesign of its popular Ventus laser range into more compact heads with significant improvements in beam quality.
Noise levels are down from two per cent to 0.5 (0.15 per cent for the higher powers) and power stability from two per cent to 0.4 per cent. M2, divergence, and weight have also been improved.
The Ventus was first launched in 2001 as a mid-powered green laser for scientific laboratories. The family has grown to offer a range of power from 50mW to 1.5W in a number of different laser heads.
