Quantum Design has introduced its first portable cryogen-free cryocooler-based vibrating sample magnetometer with the new VersaLab product line, distributed by Elliot Scientific. With a sensitivity of better than 1E-6 emu/rt-Hz, this 3-Tesla VSM has an experimental temperature range of 50K to 400K. Users will benefit from Quantum Design's expertise in automated measurement platforms, with the added convenience of freedom from liquid cryogens. The compact size of the VersaLab means the instrument can be moved easily from lab to lab, requiring only a single-phase electrical supply.
