Thermo Fisher Scientific has announced the latest upgrade to its Vision software package for its Evolution and Helios UV-Visible spectrophotometers. The new software provides extended capabilities for a wide range of applications such as QA/QC, materials science and life science markets.
Version 4.1 allows rapid and automatic data collection, with the possibility of remote control (up to 10m). When coupled with the Evolution 300, version 4.1 enables 50 data points to be collected in the first 1000ms of the reaction with a dead time of less than 8ms.
Vision 4.1 continues to comply with 21 CFR Part 11 regulations. New capabilities in VsionSecurity 4.1 provide additional audit trail events, event monitor functionality, and enhanced electronic signature monitoring for customers. Additionally the integration into Microsoft operating systems protects data even when the VisionSecurity software is not running.
Additional features include a built-in weight and volume correction function and advanced baseline functions for 0%T baseline. Vision 4.1 can also be integrated with other software packages such as Microsoft Excel and the Thermo Scientific Grams/AI 8.0 or OriginLab Corporation’s OriginPro 7.5.
