After Cambridge Technology incorporated General Scanning in a merger in January 2009, the company has relocated the European sales and support operations of Cambridge Technology Europe from the company's headquarters in the US to Planegg, a town just outside of Munich, Germany. Sales, application and technical support for all Cambridge Technology and General Scanning products will now be run from this location, for both the Cambridge Technology 'components' business and the expanding 'solutions' business (branded 'General Scanning Solutions').
Cambridge Technology Europe, which serves as the European sales, service, and application headquarters for Cambridge Technology, has also increased the technical sales and support staff in order to meet support demands.
