Henrik Skov Andersen has been appointed chief executive officer of Ibsen Photonics, following the planned departure of current CEO Torben Jacobsen. Danish company Ibsen Photonics is involved grating components and spectrometer modules. Jacobsen, who is about to turn 65, will stop managing on a day to day basis, in order to focus on his role on the board of directors and to have more spare time.
Kim Vejlby Hansen, chairman of the board of Ibsen Photonics and COO at FOSS, says: 'We have found a perfect solution in connection with this generation shift. Torben Jacobsen has, together with the employees, successfully transformed Ibsen from a one-play company to become a recognised supplier of grating components and spectrometer modules for many diverse markets. We are now ready for strong growth in the coming years and Henrik Skov Andersen is a perfect manager to carry through this growth together with the employees. I am looking forward to the coming collaboration.'
Over the next few months Andersen and Jacobsen will work together to ensure a smooth management shift, maintaining the continuity regarding customers and employees.
'I am impressed by the solid international customer portfolio that Ibsen Photonics has been able to achieve, giving a solid basis for growth building on the right combination of innovation, quality and customer focus. I am looking forward to leading the further development of Ibsen Photonics,' says Andersen.
