Precision optical components firm, Knight Optical, has opened a European sales office in the UK to cover the German, Francophone and Spanish markets.
The Kent based company has set up a multi-lingual technical sales advisor team, recruiting four new staff. The European sales office is located a short distance from the company's headquarters in Harrietsham in Kent.
Colin Overton, Knight's managing director, said: 'In the last two years we have experienced excellent growth in both the volume of new enquiries and business from existing customers in European markets. For us the timing was right to make this investment in the new offices and staff to support these important markets.'
Knight provides a range of precision optical components, opto-mechanics and sub-assemblies for scientific instruments. It holds a stock of over 2,500 standard components, which are available to buy through its website and can be delivered world-wide.
