Avantes has introduced a low cost, back-thinned CCD array into its portable spectrometer platform – the AvaSpec-2048X14. The new detector has excellent performance in the UV and NIR range. Additionally, it has high overall sensitivity and signal to noise performance.
It includes all the features of pervious versions, including: high speed USB2, RS232, and wireless data communications; 16 bit A/D for high dynamic range; on-board processor and memory; four analogue and 15 digital I/O capabilities.
The AvaSpec-2048X14 is available as an end product and as an OEM component for systems integration customers.
