Power Technology, a laser manufacturer, has introduced a green wavelength version of its successful PNF series laser module for machine vision. This offering further increases the available choices of structured light lasers designed for production efficiency, quality control and inspection.
Applications for the laser modules include 3D profiling and mapping, dimensional scanning, high-speed rail and road inspection, web inspection, fluorescence and illumination.
The high-power structured light lasers are engineered to ensure that even the most demanding high-speed industrial applications can be handled. The green PNF series can deliver an output power of 20mW with a wavelength of 515nm. Additional design features include uniform intensity (non-Gaussian) line generators, unique variable focus technology, high wavelength stability, high optical power stability, and CW or optional digital/analogue modulation greater than 1MHz.
Power Technology has also released a 515nm 20mW green laser diode module, as well as new blue laser diode wavelengths and power levels. The blue laser diodes include 375nm 200mW, 395nm 120mW, 415nm 120mW, 420nm 120mW and 460nm 100mW options. Potential applications for the diodes include fluorescence, flow cytometry, and spectroscopy, among others.
