Instrument Systems has released the imaging colorimeter LumiCol 1900, optimised for fast and precise luminance and colour measurement of flat panel displays on production lines. For the analysis of various flat panel displays, the measuring device combines the spot colorimeter CA-310 from Konica Minolta and an RGB CMOS sensor for fast 2D image acquisition. The entire display area can be characterised in one shot for calculation of homogeneity or evaluation of Mura.
In addition, measurements with the LumiCol 1900 provide all characteristic functionalities of a spot colorimeter, such as flicker or colour gamma. The new software, LumiSuite for lab applications, is available with a software development kit and means the equipment can be implemented easily into any production line.
