Special light source production company Heraeus Noblelight has announced that it has appointed Rick Slagle as its business development manager for optoelectronics for the North American market.
Slagle has more than 20 years of experience in lasers, optics and LEDs, particularly in business development for high technology start-ups. Located in the Boston metro area, Slagle has introduced new optoelectronic products and systems as well as opened new markets and territories for previous employers. Heraeus’ optoelectronics division develops customer-optimised LED solutions in the near ultraviolet (UV) spectrum.
‘Rick’s extensive experience and comprehensive understanding of photonics and UV LEDs is a tremendous addition to Heraeus and a valuable resource to our clients. We feel confident that he will provide the company the means to strategically build upon our new and existing speciality lighting business,’ said Heraeus Noblelight president, Ruben Rivera.
