Ophir-Spiricon has appointed Jeff J Robbins as its controller. Robbins will be responsible for all accounting and finance activities at Ophir-Spiricon, the US-based arm of the Ophir Optronics Laser Measurement Group.
Prior to joining Ophir-Spiricon, Robbins served as vice president of finance and director of operations at Facet Solutions, a developer of spinal implants. He supervised accounting, inventory management, purchasing, facilities, IT, HR, and lead the implementation of the company's quality system and development of FDA/ISO compliance procedures.
Robbins also served as director of operations at MedicineLodge, where he launched their manufacturing operations. As materials manager at Mitek Products, a Johnson & Johnson company, Robbins managed production, purchasing, and inventory.
Robbins holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and a Master of Accountancy in auditing and information systems from Brigham Young University. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the American Society for Quality.
