Gooch and Housego has launched a high power, fibre coupled isolator, which has been developed specifically for the pulsed fibre laser market.
The product complements Gooch and Housego's existing portfolio of high power fibre laser components that includes multimode fibre combiners, tap couplers and wavelength combiners in single mode fibre as well as a range of fibre coupled acousto-optic modulators and Q-switches.
The FIBO (fibre-in-beam-out) isolator, used at the final output of a high power fibre laser system to isolate the amplifier system from back reflections, is a fibre to free space, polarisation insensitive device designed to be used in systems with average powers in excess of 20W.
The isolator is available from AMS Technologies, official distributor of Gooch and Housego, in Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Spain, Portugal and Switzerland.
